Rev Ed Posted December 29, 2011 at 04:27 AM Report Share Posted December 29, 2011 at 04:27 AM No. But with the possible exception of being both President and Vice-President, there is no reason why a person could not hold two positions at the same time. Weldon Merritt Posted December 29, 2011 at 04:41 AM Report Share Posted December 29, 2011 at 04:41 AM No. But with the possible exception of being both President and Vice-President, there is no reason why a person could not hold two positions at the same time.Being both President and Secretary also would be problematical. It is diffcualt to take proper minutes while presiding.
Guest Edgar Posted December 29, 2011 at 10:55 AM Report Share Posted December 29, 2011 at 10:55 AM It should also be noted that, regardless of how many hats one wears, each member has only one vote.

Josh Martin Posted December 30, 2011 at 12:27 AM Report Share Posted December 30, 2011 at 12:27 AM Does Roberts speak to holding tow elected board positions simultaneously? No rule in RONR prohibits it.But with the possible exception of being both President and Vice-President, there is no reason why a person could not hold two positions at the same time.Strictly speaking, there is no reason a person cannot hold the positions of President and Vice-President at the same time, although such a combination is generally unwise (and pointless if the VP has only the default duties in RONR). Bruce Lages Posted December 30, 2011 at 08:52 PM Report Share Posted December 30, 2011 at 08:52 PM But please note that what RONR has no prescription against is an individual holding more than one office simultaneously. If, as in many organizations, a number of board positions all have the same title, such as trustee, with no other distinctions being made, then it would be inappropriate to hold two such positions at one time.
