Are both put on the same ballot for voting?This is appropriate if it's something really simple (like choosing one convention city over another, or an amount of money, or something of that nature). If the proposals are distinct main motions, then one of the proposals should be moved and then perfected through amendment before anything is voted on (by ballot or otherwise).
