bugleanne
If a board of 6 has a tie between two candidates for president, and a majority is required for election, how is that resolved? Board members serve 6-year terms with staggered terms (two members are elected every two years and sworn in at the next meeting). Officers are elected at that time and serve two-year terms. Chris Harrison
Keep on voting and voting and voting until someone gets a majority vote. Additionally you all can reopen nominations and maybe someone that both factions can live with will get nominated.
bugleanne
So the current president presides until a candidate gets a majority vote, right?
jstackpo
Right, maybe. It depends on how the president's term of office is defined. See p. 573-574.
