Tina Marie Posted February 16, 2012 at 06:44 AM Report Share Posted February 16, 2012 at 06:44 AM Our school board is looking at revisions and updates to our by-laws. The section on revisions is being looked at and I have a few questions: * Our by-law states " A parent of students at the "school" may, at any time, request that an election be held for the recall of one or more Board members by obtaining the signatures of at least 10% of the parents of the students enrolled at "the school" on a recall petition." There is nothing that states verification of the petition- is that needed?Members are also questioning if this can be so vagueI waws surprised to see there are no by-laws regarding conflict and resolutions to regard a recall as a last resort. If that something to think about? Thanks for your thoughts!!
Trina Posted February 16, 2012 at 09:01 PM Report Share Posted February 16, 2012 at 09:01 PM This is not a bylaws forum. You might visit the nearby forum where people are willing (and permitted) to discuss issues like this (see any one of Mr. Foulkes' posts for a link).Oh, and bylaws can certainly be vague, even extremely vague -- that's not to say vagueness is advisable.
