Guest Brian Cornborough Posted March 4, 2012 at 11:20 PM Report Share Posted March 4, 2012 at 11:20 PM Our members can attend the monthly council meetings. If they give proper notice that they are attending, can they only speak with permission of the chair, and if so, can we limit the time they can speak? jstackpo Posted March 4, 2012 at 11:28 PM Report Share Posted March 4, 2012 at 11:28 PM Not knowing what kind or rules back up "members can attend", I can't say for sure, but permission for a non-council-member to speak can be granted only by the council members, majority vote. The president can't do so on his own, unless the rules give him that power or authority.
