Guest Tim Prescott Posted March 8, 2012 at 04:30 PM Report Share Posted March 8, 2012 at 04:30 PM I belong to an organization which has Support Members (those who don't meet specific requirements for Full Membership). Our bylaws specifically prohibit these members from voting on the organization's business. Would this effectively prohibit them from making motions? Also, is the chair obliged to recognize them?Thank you
jstackpo Posted March 8, 2012 at 04:49 PM Report Share Posted March 8, 2012 at 04:49 PM RONR deals only with "members" -- with all rights, &c. -- and non-members -- no (membership) rights.Anything in between is up to the association to define and delimit in the bylaws.
