Voiding vote in middle of voting

Can a vote be voided after it has begun?

Association holds vote on issues by "evoting" in which "evotes" are to be cast over 48 hour period. Votes are cast within the first 24 of the 48 hours. After these votes cast, but before the 48 hours has run, the Chair declares the vote void. Does the Chair have power to terminate the vote under RONR or must the vote continue?

What would be the answer for voting "covered" by RONR. For example, debate endes, vote starts, but as members start to vote, Chair rules, no vote will be taken. Does vote continue? What if it is clear measure will pass at end of casting of "aye" votes and Chair stops the vote before taking the "nay" votes?

'Interruptions during the taking of a vote are permitted only before any member has actually voted, unless, as sometimes occurs in ballot voting, other business is being transacted during voting or tabulating.' (RONR 11th ed. p. 408 ll. 9-13)

I don't see how "Chair rules, no vote will be taken," would be an acceptable interruption once voting has started.
