Guest Ray Posted September 25, 2012 at 11:50 PM Report Share Posted September 25, 2012 at 11:50 PM How can the President stop people at a Board meeting from being obnoxious and rude? Can you give them one warning and then ban them from attending any other Board mettings according to Roberts Rules?
Chris Harrison Posted September 25, 2012 at 11:54 PM Report Share Posted September 25, 2012 at 11:54 PM The President has the authority to unilaterally order disorderly nonmembers (of the body which is meeting) removed from the meeting (though that order can be Appealed by Board members). However, the President does not have the authority to ban a nonmember from future meetings (though the Board can do so).
David A Foulkes Posted September 26, 2012 at 01:06 AM Report Share Posted September 26, 2012 at 01:06 AM Are these "unruly members at a Board meeting" (as your topic title states) members of the Board, or general (non-Board) members of the society?
