Guest Bill De WItt Posted October 12, 2012 at 03:45 PM Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 at 03:45 PM Does a council have the right to revisit an agenda item after they have moved on to the next item?

Guest Guest Posted October 12, 2012 at 04:18 PM Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 at 04:18 PM Our city council had appointing a park board as an agenda item. One of the council made a motion to approve all six. The motion did not pass. Later during the citizens comments a citizen asked it they would revisit the agenda item and nominate each individual seperately. After much debate they did. JohnR Posted October 12, 2012 at 04:33 PM Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 at 04:33 PM This would be properly accomplished by a motion to reconsider, which should have been made by a member who had voted against the appointees.
