Guest Guest Posted October 22, 2012 at 10:36 PM Report Share Posted October 22, 2012 at 10:36 PM And your question is?Oops -- Is this addressed in RONR? If so, I couldn't locate it so I'd like to know what RONR says about this topic. Should a committee chair make a motion to undertake a project that comes from the committee she chairs? Should she refrain from campaigning for the project? Should she vote as a Board Member to undertake this project? Thanks!
Chris Harrison Posted October 22, 2012 at 10:52 PM Report Share Posted October 22, 2012 at 10:52 PM Should a committee chair make a motion to undertake a project that comes from the committee she chairs?Generally the Committee Chair is the person who presents the Committee's report with any recommendations to the body which appointed it (RONR pp. 511-529).Should she refrain from campaigning for the project? No.Should she vote as a Board Member to undertake this project? As a Board member she has a right to vote on all questions coming before the Board (even those which came from a committee that she chaired).
