Rev Ed Posted October 26, 2012 at 10:26 PM Report Share Posted October 26, 2012 at 10:26 PM Could you be more specific? If a decision was reached, and followed RONR, I doubt a judge would rule against how the group made its decision - but may deal with the actual decision. There are lawyers and laws books out there which I'm sure can provide the answer.

Guest Edgar Posted October 27, 2012 at 02:17 PM Report Share Posted October 27, 2012 at 02:17 PM My question is can we move a court of law seeking a remedy for a failure following procedure laid down in Robert Rules? And our answer is that you should ask an attorney.FWIW, some here have suggested that the bylaws constitute a sort of contract among the members and, if the organization has included RONR as its parliamentary authority, it would be part of that contract. But, again, these are matters for an attorney.
