Guest Edgar Posted October 29, 2012 at 04:20 PM Report Share Posted October 29, 2012 at 04:20 PM What language is needed in bylaws to allow absent members to listen to meeting and vote? You might take a look at these articles on electronic meetings. They're more than ten years old now, which is a lifetime in digital technology, but perhaps they're not entirely obsolete. Certainly the fundamental principles don't change. J. J. Posted November 2, 2012 at 10:57 PM Report Share Posted November 2, 2012 at 10:57 PM What language is needed in bylaws to allow absent members to listen to meeting and vote?No rule would be needed to let members listen to a meeting. You basically should get "someone" to write a bylaw clause to permit absentee voting of this type.
