Sean Hunt Posted November 2, 2012 at 03:27 PM Report Share Posted November 2, 2012 at 03:27 PM If the board of Directors can remove a person from a committee, can they also set a time limit, for a person to not be able to set on a committee? Not unless the appointing authority is subordinate to the board. Otherwise the appointing authority could always reappoint them. If they can do so at will, perhaps you should reconsider your system of appointing and removing members to and from committees. But even if the appointing authority is subordinate to the board, the board cannot truly disqualify them for a time, since a future board could always reverse that decision, and there is nothing a board can do about that.
