Gary Novosielski Posted December 12, 2012 at 03:29 AM Report Share Posted December 12, 2012 at 03:29 AM The votes may be counted in the meeting room, or outside it, as the assembly wishes. The report of the tellers (including all the numbers) is read aloud and handed to the chairman, who reads it again and announces the result. The report is included in the minutes. If the ballots have been kept securely under seal since the election meeting, they can be recounted. If not, then I guess you won't know the numbers. Are you sure who won? Were any results actually announced?

Josh Martin Posted December 12, 2012 at 04:47 AM Report Share Posted December 12, 2012 at 04:47 AM None announced none recorded to minutes only thing said is who wonWell, at least you know that much. As Mr. Novosielski said, if the ballots have been securely preserved, then a recount may be ordered and the totals recorded in the minutes. Otherwise, it's too late to correct the error and you'll just have to do it right next time.

Josh Martin Posted December 12, 2012 at 04:58 AM Report Share Posted December 12, 2012 at 04:58 AM I did ask for a count at the time and they would not giveOkay. So next time, raise a Point of Order that it is required that the tellers' report be read to the assembly and included in the minutes. (RONR, 11th ed., pgs. 417-418) Be prepared to Appeal from the ruling of the chair if necessary. See RONR, 11th ed., pgs. 247-260.
