Guest David Posted January 15, 2013 at 11:38 AM Report Share Posted January 15, 2013 at 11:38 AM Hello Everyone !!In a group where there is an Executive Board but that general public are voting members. Is it appropriate to have the whole executive board on the By-Laws committee or it should be mostly the general public/voting members that should work on by-laws and be part of the by-laws committee?ThanksDavid
Chris Harrison Posted January 15, 2013 at 12:26 PM Report Share Posted January 15, 2013 at 12:26 PM Absent the bylaws specifying who must be on the Committee it is up to the body who has the authority to amend the bylaws to decide who they want on it. If they want to make the entire Board the Committee they can do so. If they want to make the Committee from strictly people from the General Membership they can do that as well. Shoot, if they want the Committee to have nothing but nonmembers they could do that too.
