A member asks, ( not Director ) asks if I e-mail information to you for the Executive Board before their meeting regarding information that the Chamber requested, is it possible, at the open forum the Chamber Board of Directors, take action on an item and does it have to be marked as an action item on the Agenda ?

The term "action item" or "action items" does not appear anywhere in RONR, and marking an item on an agenda as an "action item" has no significance whatsoever.

If the term has some meaning to you, it must be because of some customized rule adopted by your organization.
