Guest Paula Posted January 18, 2013 at 12:04 AM Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 at 12:04 AM If a Board member resigned in December and the annual evaluation of the general manager is completed in January, can this Board member evaluate the general manager
Guest Edgar Posted January 18, 2013 at 12:11 AM Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 at 12:11 AM Assuming it's the board's responsibility to issue an annual evaluation report on the GM each January, then that's what the board should do. The fact that the report might include input from someone who is no longer a member of the board seems immaterial to me. In other words, it's the board that's issuing the report, not individual board members. If that's what you're asking.
Guest Guest Posted January 18, 2013 at 12:23 AM Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 at 12:23 AM yes that is what I was asking. It is the Board's responsbility to review the general manager. It did seem odd to me to include input from a nonboard member however he was a Board member during the review period which ended in December. Guest Edgar Posted January 18, 2013 at 12:31 AM Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 at 12:31 AM It did seem odd to me to include input from a nonboard member.I would think the board would want input from any number of people who aren't members of the board but who have some experience with how the GM is doing. Don't confuse who's providing the input (all kinds of people) with who's providing the output (the board, however it happens to be constituted when the report is made).
