David A Foulkes Posted January 21, 2013 at 11:29 PM Report Share Posted January 21, 2013 at 11:29 PM Do minutes have to be taken in order for a meeting to be termed proper?Thank youNo, although minutes should (must?) always be taken at meetings anyway. If they aren't, and the meeting was "proper", the lack of minutes does not improperate (is that even a word?) the meeting. If the meeting was "improper", having minutes doesn't make it proper. Now, what do you mean by "termed proper"?
Josh Martin Posted January 22, 2013 at 02:49 AM Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 at 02:49 AM Do minutes have to be taken in order for a meeting to be termed proper?Minutes must be taken, but failing to take minutes does not invalidate an otherwise valid meeting. In such a case, the assembly should take measures to create minutes "after the fact."
