Changing chairs of a meeting mid-meeting

How do you change the chair of a meeting in the middle of the meeting. For example:

-- BoD Member A is the chair at annual meeting

-- Member A is also running for a new term

-- BoD Member B is the chair for the candidate discussion portion of the meeting and the election voting process.\

-- A needs to transfer the chairmanship to B

How do you do this?

Thanks!

Nothing in RONR would prevent Member A from presiding during an election in which he is a candidate. However, if the presiding officer is to relinquish the chair, he does so to the Vice President, if there is one. Otherwise, he may choose a temporary chair, subject to the approval of the assembly.

As for the actual doing of this, the chair would simply announce the fact. There's no secret swearing-in ceremony.
