Josh Martin Posted January 22, 2013 at 11:46 PM Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 at 11:46 PM If several members send a letter to the board expressing concerns, does the president have to bring this letter up at the next membership meetingNo. The board is not required to respond to the letter, and if it does, it would be best for another member of the board to speak on the board's behalf so that the President may maintain the appearance of impartiality. Guest Snow White Posted January 23, 2013 at 08:35 AM Report Share Posted January 23, 2013 at 08:35 AM Why wouldn't the board address these concerns? Shouldn't the board answer to its members?
Guest Edgar Posted January 23, 2013 at 12:40 PM Report Share Posted January 23, 2013 at 12:40 PM Why wouldn't the board address these concerns?Perhaps it would. Mr. Martin merely stated that, per RONR, it's not required to inform the (general) membership of all correspondence it receives.Shouldn't the board answer to its members?Perhaps it should, But that would depend on the content of the letter.
