jcondus Posted February 12, 2013 at 05:03 PM Report Share Posted February 12, 2013 at 05:03 PM A officer has produced a set of operating procedures / policy for our members to follow at functions. One of the procedures in this policy is in direct opposition to a specific BY-LAW. The question is: can a officer set up a procedure / policy that is in direct conflict with a specific BY-LAW ? Which document, the BY-LAWS or the officers procedure / policy is the dominant document.

But don't ask us; ask this officer where he gets the authority to do what he thinks he did.
