Or any other kind of vote.edbMA8
jstackpo Posted February 18, 2013 at 09:16 PM Report Share Posted February 18, 2013 at 09:16 PM Right; so characterize it as a no-ballot-required election.
David A Foulkes Posted February 18, 2013 at 09:28 PM Report Share Posted February 18, 2013 at 09:28 PM Does anyone know the word for re-election without opposition?RONR doesn't provide a one-word term for this, beyond (I suppose) "elected." You could say "re-elected" if that helps. Up to the election, you could say that the candidate is running "unopposed." But to what end all of this? Either the person was (re)elected or not. That, and a vote count, are all that really matters as far as recording this.Right; so characterize it as a no-ballot-required election.Well, we don't know if a ballot vote was taken, or even required. Heck, we don't even know if there's been, or will be, an election. What we have here so far is a vocabulary quiz.
