Guest Edgar Posted March 2, 2013 at 03:54 PM Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 at 03:54 PM Does the President (Jr. League) decide on who to ask to fill a position on the Board (Secretary, 1st Vice President) for the next calendar year or is the position open to all active members?Any member is free to nominate and/or vote for any eligible candidate. The president has no "extra" authority in this matter. If your president thinks she does, ask her to show you the rule that says so. She won't find it in RONR. Guest Gail Stanton Posted March 21, 2013 at 06:34 PM Report Share Posted March 21, 2013 at 06:34 PM What if no one from the membership is willing to accept the nomination for a board position? Is it then possible to nominate a "new" member? (less than 30 days active)

(less than 30 days active)As far as RONR is concerned, someone who's been a member for five minutes has the same rights as someone who's been a member five years.
