Guest Carri Posted March 2, 2013 at 06:51 PM Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 at 06:51 PM Motion on agenda to be voted on but has been smashed into one motion to make it all 'slam' through. We don't want all of it, but agree to some of it...what is the process to break up the motion and vote on them individually?

The motion is not debatable and requires a majority vote.

jstackpo Posted March 2, 2013 at 07:19 PM Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 at 07:19 PM A restoration trick could be to either recommend or give them copies (or have the Board buy the copies for themselves) ofRONRIB:"Roberts Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief", Updated Second Edition (Da Capo Press, Perseus Books Group, 2011). It is a splendid summary of all the rules you will really need in all but the most exceptional situations. And only $7.50! You can read it in an evening. Get both RONRIB and RONR (scroll down) at this link.
