jstackpo Posted March 10, 2013 at 07:38 AM Report Share Posted March 10, 2013 at 07:38 AM But the direct answer may, probably will, depend on what the sub-committee was asked to do and the exact wording of the motion that failed for lack of a majority vote in favor.Perhaps Guest CETRJ could fill us in. Gary Novosielski Posted March 28, 2013 at 02:10 PM Report Share Posted March 28, 2013 at 02:10 PM If a sub-committee votes on an item and it ends in a tie, can the item be moved to the committee or does it die in the sub-committee?A tie vote defeats a motion. So to decide what happens next, think of what you would do if everyone voted against it.Whether an "item" whatever that means, is "moved to the committee" whatever that means, depends on what the motion was, and whether it passed or failed.
