Guest ursula Posted September 15, 2013 at 02:58 PM Report Share Posted September 15, 2013 at 02:58 PM The elected president of our assembly has missed the last three meetings. He leaves the Vice President to chair the meetings. How can we remove the president and elect a new one? He was elected for a fixed, one year term, of which only three months have elapsed. Guest Edgar Posted September 15, 2013 at 04:16 PM Report Share Posted September 15, 2013 at 04:16 PM Or try to convince him to resign, as the right thing to do. If he missed the June, July, and August meetings maybe he was simply away for the summer. And "leaving the Vice President to chair the meetings" is what vice-presidents are for. And "leaving the Vice President to chair the meetings" is what vice-presidents are for. True enough, though when I have served as Chair/President I would make sure to let the VC/VP know if I wasn't going to be at the meeting (assuming I know in advance of course) if for no other reason than to make sure that she knows to make sure that any information that was sent to me also made its way to her (which in certain cases doesn't happen automatically).
