Yes (and it's actually called a Request for Information now). A Request for Information is even in order after the Previous Question has been adopted. To be sure the assembly is clear on this point, just a motion and second isn't enough to end debate. The motion for the Previous Question requires a 2/3 vote for adoption. See FAQ #11.
