Election redo

OK , we had a point of order called as the C&BL said the ballots need to be mailed to the election chair and they were not .Now  without notice to the membership another ballot was mailed out and a law firm was hired to count ballots . The C&BL does not  state that notification has to be given.

 Is there any place in the RONR  that states a notification must be given if this is to happen ?

(Note these are mail ballot as the membership is spread out all over the US and Canada.) 

There are some who have not received the ballot and the secretary said they were mailed and will not mail out new ones she missed some of these people the 1st time too and some may not know there is a second ballot so as no one was informed

they cannot complain  .Do they have any Recourse ?  Thank you Pam

Any notification for mail ballots, which sounds a bit strange, would have to be included in the bylaws.

RONR doesn't require notice for a vote by mail, but it certainly requires that if a vote by mail is taken, the ballot is mailed to all members.

 

Do they have any Recourse ? 

 

A member could raise a Point of Order at the next meeting, and an Appeal if necessary.
