Guest Ron K Posted September 29, 2013 at 01:03 PM Report Share Posted September 29, 2013 at 01:03 PM A nominating Committee, composed of five members (by By Law) has a committee member who becomes a nominee. Should that person person be excused from the Committee and may the committee continue to function with only four members, instead of five? Nothing in RONR precludes him from continuing to serve on the committee.
Guest Edgar Posted September 29, 2013 at 02:28 PM Report Share Posted September 29, 2013 at 02:28 PM And, unless he's selected by the nominating committee (which is also permissible), he typically wouldn't become a nominee (i.e. "from the floor") until the nominating committee has made its report and has, in effect, disbanded (so, in effect, he'd no longer be a member).
