Guest alden25 Posted September 30, 2013 at 03:37 PM Report Share Posted September 30, 2013 at 03:37 PM The entire board of directors resigned except for the Treasurer in March of 2013. Nominations are in October 2013 with the ballots to be counted November 2013. Would like to know how to handle if one or more of the persons who resigned is eligible to run for the new election. There is no provision for this in the by-laws/constitution. Was wondering if Roberts Rules addressed this situation ?

No rule in RONR would preclude any of them from being nominated for and/or elected to office.
Guest Edgar Posted September 30, 2013 at 07:21 PM Report Share Posted September 30, 2013 at 07:21 PM Would like to know how to handle if one or more of the persons who resigned is eligible to run for the new election. Well, the way I'd handle it is not to vote for any of the board members who resigned en masse. Barring some very unusual circumstance, such resignations seem highly irresponsible.
