Guest E. Dixon Posted October 2, 2013 at 04:56 AM Report Share Posted October 2, 2013 at 04:56 AM The tellers committee distribute, collect, and count the ballots. Then report the results of the vote. Who prepares the ballots to be distributed?
J. J. Posted October 2, 2013 at 05:23 AM Report Share Posted October 2, 2013 at 05:23 AM I'm tempted to say the paper company. It can be anyone, or no one; RONR has no requirements. You can just use a blank sheet of paper and the voter can write the name/office of that candidate on the ballot, e.g. "President E. Dixon." jstackpo Posted October 2, 2013 at 10:55 AM Report Share Posted October 2, 2013 at 10:55 AM J.J. is quite correct but it seems to me that the task naturally falls to the Nominating Committee members - they have the correct spelling (&c) -- presumably -- of the candidates names and any other information that the bylaws may require on the ballot (RONR has no requirements). Nor any requirement for a paper ballot at all -- the choice is up to the association, usually expressed in the bylaws.
J. J. Posted October 2, 2013 at 01:35 PM Report Share Posted October 2, 2013 at 01:35 PM JDS, I think that it would up to the majority. They could easily appoint an "election committee" or a "ballot construction committee" to do this. They might assign this to an existing committee.
