Guest Ken Posted October 16, 2013 at 01:54 PM Report Share Posted October 16, 2013 at 01:54 PM I'd like to know if someone can e-mail a Board of Directors and ask for a motion to be made?
jstackpo Posted October 16, 2013 at 01:56 PM Report Share Posted October 16, 2013 at 01:56 PM Well, presuming that you have no "meetings by e-mail" provisions in your bylaws, the person can certainly request that the motion be made, but it can't be actually offered until the next Board meeting. And then only by a board member.
Guest Edgar Posted October 16, 2013 at 02:24 PM Report Share Posted October 16, 2013 at 02:24 PM I'd like to know if someone can e-mail a Board of Directors and ask for a motion to be made? You've asked two different questions (one in the topic of your post and another one in the post itself). As Mr. Stackpole observes, it's one thing to ask that a motion be made (presumably by someone else) and it's quite another thing to actually make a motion.
