Josh Martin Posted October 21, 2013 at 04:29 PM Report Share Posted October 21, 2013 at 04:29 PM Is it the right of and responsibility of the Chair to determine whether to call for an Executive Session and/or a special session of the board? No for the first one, maybe for the second. Your bylaws should define who (if anyone) may call a special meeting of the board. It is up to the board to determine whether to enter executive session during a meeting, by majority vote.
J. J. Posted October 21, 2013 at 05:13 PM Report Share Posted October 21, 2013 at 05:13 PM The chair might ask unanimous consent foran executive (meaning limited to members and secret) session, but someone could object.
