George Mervosh Posted October 21, 2013 at 06:49 PM Report Share Posted October 21, 2013 at 06:49 PM How do I find out if our non profit organization follow roberts rules? Check your bylaws. There should be an Article, or at least a section specifying one.
Josh Martin Posted October 21, 2013 at 06:51 PM Report Share Posted October 21, 2013 at 06:51 PM How do I find out if our non profit organization follow roberts rules? If your organization has adopted RONR as its parliamentary authority, it should have a statement similar to this in its rules (preferably in the bylaws): "The rules contained in the current edition of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised shall govern the Society in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with these bylaws and any special rules of order the Society may adopt." If your organization has not adopted RONR as its parliamentary authority, see How to Adopt Robert's Rules of Order to fix that problem.
