designated fund statue if designation is not needed in a church

We have funds donated to the church for specific items.  We already have the items specified.  What is the statue of these funds until we can deposit them into the general fund?

This is probably a legal (or tax, or accounting) question.  RONR most certainly has nothing to say on the matter.
