Guest Jack Baratto Posted December 8, 2013 at 01:28 AM Report Share Posted December 8, 2013 at 01:28 AM can a regular member of a private club request in writing the financial records for any year? If the regular member suspects misappropriation of funds, and would like to go over the records himself, or with an appropriate board member? Guest Edgar Posted December 8, 2013 at 02:03 AM Report Share Posted December 8, 2013 at 02:03 AM Request? Sure. But whether that request is granted is up to the club (and/or the board if the board is so authorized).
Guest Nancy N. Posted December 8, 2013 at 03:00 AM Report Share Posted December 8, 2013 at 03:00 AM Isn't p. 461 to be understood as allowing a member to examine, at least, the financial records, analogously to the right to examine the secretary's? No, I don't think so. RONR does not grant individual members the right to examine the financial records.
