Guest Frank S. Posted April 3, 2014 at 03:00 AM Report Share Posted April 3, 2014 at 03:00 AM Hello, What is the proper seating arrangements for Board members at a Board meeting. At our association Board meetings, two Board members say we should all face the regular members who attend our board meetings. A few of us feel that this is our meeting and we should be huddled around the table so we can see and hear each other. Is there anything in the 11th edition regarding this? Please advise, what the proper protocol is. Thank you.
Rev Ed Posted April 3, 2014 at 03:09 AM Report Share Posted April 3, 2014 at 03:09 AM RONR will not help you with this, other then only members have the right to attend a meeting, and the group holding the meeting (i.e. the Board) need not allow non-members (i.e. the 'regular members') to attend. If non-members are allows to attend (thanks to a provision in the By-laws or applicable statute), then they could attend. Otherwise, whatever makes life easier for Board members is what should occur.
