Sylvia Posted April 24, 2014 at 04:10 PM Report Share Posted April 24, 2014 at 04:10 PM When a person is nominated for a position on the day/night of election is that person required to be present on election night? One person is always nominated for a position and then when someone else runs against her, she never shows up on election night but sends a statement through her friend she still wants to me nominated. We all feel she should be present or her name should be removed????

No. We all feel she should be present or her name should be removed???? No don't do that. Try gathering support before the meeting to vote for someone else instead of her. Gary Novosielski Posted April 24, 2014 at 07:16 PM Report Share Posted April 24, 2014 at 07:16 PM We all feel she should be present or her name should be removed[.] That would be improper. There is no requirement in RONR for a person to be present in order to be nominated--or elected. But if you really all feel that way, simply vote for her opponent. There's no way she can be elected if you all feel she should not.
