Guest O Roy Posted May 2, 2014 at 05:26 PM Report Share Posted May 2, 2014 at 05:26 PM Our Executive Committee has unilaterally decided to not distribute a Independent Consultants report to the full board and instead says one copy is available in the Administrative Offices for a 20 plus member board to review many who live out of town. Does Robert's Rules address distribution of information or reports
Gary Novosielski Posted May 2, 2014 at 05:30 PM Report Share Posted May 2, 2014 at 05:30 PM The full board can simply pass a motion directing the Executive Committee to distribute the report.

Transpower Posted May 3, 2014 at 01:32 PM Report Share Posted May 3, 2014 at 01:32 PM RONR (11th ed.), p. 487, ll. 21-24: "At regular board meetings the executive committee, if there is one, should be required to make a report of its activities since the last board meeting. No action need be taken on this report, which is generally intended as information only." If I were on that executive committee I would certainly make a PDF of the consultant's report and e-mail it to all board members. Remember: the executive committee is subordinate to the board!
