Guest Alice Posted May 12, 2014 at 01:15 AM Report Share Posted May 12, 2014 at 01:15 AM I know this is so simple compared to the complex questions that have asked - but. Can a BOD tell disruptive members of a non-profit club that raises money for charities - that due to their disruptive behavior they are not welcome and if they RSVP for future meetings, the RSVP will not be accepted? Chris Harrison Posted May 12, 2014 at 02:41 AM Report Share Posted May 12, 2014 at 02:41 AM As far as RONR is concerned only members of the body which is meeting have any right to attend. Are these lunch meetings meetings of the Board or General Membership? Also, are these offending people Board members or General Members?

Generally speaking: A club's board can prevent anyone who is not a member of the board from attending a meeting of the board. A club's board cannot prevent board members from attending board meetings, but if one of its members is being disruptive during one of its meetings, it can require the disruptive member to leave the room for the remainder of that meeting. A club's board has no control at all over who may or may not attend meetings of the club's membership.
