Amend a Treasurer's report

How do you amend a previous report that was approved, but now needs to be amended because of a mistake.

Unless the report contained recommendations that were moved, voted on, and adopted, it would have been incorrect to "approve" the report.  Instead it should just have been placed on file.  In that case the reporting committee could simply submit a revised report and ask that it be placed on file.

 

If there were recommendations in the report that were adopted, then whatever was actually moved and passed, whether it agreed with the report or not, is what was adopted.

And if those recommendation contained mistakes, or a mistake elsewhere in the report may have altered the outcome of the meeting, then the group can amend the approved recommendations through a motion to Amend Something Previously Adopted.
