Guest marianne Posted May 22, 2014 at 02:31 AM Report Share Posted May 22, 2014 at 02:31 AM Our PTA had an election tonight. Usually the elections are not contested or there is an overwhelming majority voting one way. In this case the president won by 62-50. When our bylaws are silent, Roberts Rules of Order govern. Since our rules are silent for majority vote or 2/3 vote, Roberts Rules govern. I misplaced my RR book. It is annual election for president Thanks!! Bruce Lages Posted May 22, 2014 at 02:50 AM Report Share Posted May 22, 2014 at 02:50 AM Majority vote - meaning more than half of the votes cast.
