You don't "accept a slate".  You vote on each individual contest for each office separately. 

 

The (physical) voting may be on one piece of paper - the ballot - but each race is won or lost individually.

I was involved in a similar situation a few weeks ago. It went something like this:

 

The chairman of the nominating committee read the list of nominees and the position they were nominated for.

 

The chair asked, "are there any other any other nominations for any of these positions."

 

[pause]

 

The chair then said, "hearing none, I will declare these elected by acclimation."

 

Of course, had there been anyone else nominated, or if someone expressed opposition to one of the ones "on the slate," it would've been necessary to take a vote for that position.

And the Chairman cannot declare any office elected by acclamation if the By-laws specifically call for elections by ballot.  In that case, a ballot vote must be held.
