jstackpo Posted June 5, 2014 at 12:58 PM Report Share Posted June 5, 2014 at 12:58 PM Presuming (you might have to tell us otherwise) that the newly elected president took office when he/she was elected (and your installation is just a ceremony - this is what RONR says is the default rule) AND presuming you have no special rules to the contrary in your bylaws, the (newly elected) Vice President automatically BECAME the president, filling the "vacancy" the moment the (newly elected) president stepped down and his resignation was accepted. See p. 575. So you now have a vacancy in the Vice-President position. Check your bylaws to see how that is to be filled. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
