Your executive director has only the authority that your bylaws (or superseding rules or laws) give her.

 

In RONR-Land, an association starts out with no executive director at all. And if there is an executive director, she starts out with no authority at all.

 

So if you think your executive director is doing something you don't think she has the authority to do, ask her to show you the rule that says she can do what she's doing.
