Guest Liz Burton Posted June 14, 2014 at 10:53 AM Report Share Posted June 14, 2014 at 10:53 AM Our County Commissioner had neglected to reapppoint a member to this advisory commisison for two years. He doesn't say why. Should she still be allowed to vote or do we check with the county attorney about this? It would seem to jeopardize our standing on votes. jstackpo Posted June 14, 2014 at 12:31 PM Report Share Posted June 14, 2014 at 12:31 PM Ask your lawyer -- RONR doesn't speak to this sort of question. It is going to depend on how the term in office (or on the Commission) is defined in the applicable law. But don't hesitate to come on back with parliamentary (procedural) questions; we just can't do "legal" here.

Edgar Guest Posted June 14, 2014 at 02:16 PM Report Share Posted June 14, 2014 at 02:16 PM Our County Commissioner had neglected to reapppoint a member to this advisory commisison for two years. He doesn't say why. Should she still be allowed to vote . . . ? If she's no longer a member of the advisory commission then she can't vote at meetings of the commission. (If that's what you're asking.)
