But note that RONR also says: "It should be noted, however, that if the bylaws provide for a president-elect, they usually provide also that the president-elect shall precede the first vice-president in the right to preside." (RONR, 11th ed. p.452, ll.21-24). I'd say that if your bylaws don't specifically include this provision for the priority of the president-elect to assume the chair, that the vice president (or 1st vice president if you have more than one) takes over.
