Guest Dave Lushbaugh Posted July 4, 2014 at 10:09 PM Report Share Posted July 4, 2014 at 10:09 PM May board members leaving the board because their term has ended, vote for the new board's officers?Perhaps another way of putting it - may the old/leaving board members vote for the new board's officers? Edgar Guest Posted July 4, 2014 at 10:12 PM Report Share Posted July 4, 2014 at 10:12 PM You're either a member of the board or you're not. If you haven't left, you're still a member. If you've left, you're not. If their term has ended they've left the board. There's no "leaving".

Timothy Posted July 5, 2014 at 02:43 AM Report Share Posted July 5, 2014 at 02:43 AM One would hope that it is the members of the organization who are electing the board rather than the board. In any case, anyone who is part of the body that is responsible for electing the board has a right to vote, and even to vote for themselves if they like. Edgar Guest Posted July 5, 2014 at 03:02 PM Report Share Posted July 5, 2014 at 03:02 PM One would hope that it is the members of the organization who are electing the board rather than the board . . . I think we're talking here about the board electing its officers (a not uncommon arrangement), not the board electing the board members.
