jstackpo Posted July 17, 2014 at 01:51 PM Report Share Posted July 17, 2014 at 01:51 PM Irrespective of the representative's membership status, any Corporate Membership would have to be defined in your bylaws which, one can only hope, would also spell out how the member-corporation can exercise its membership rights. Edgar Guest Posted July 17, 2014 at 01:52 PM Report Share Posted July 17, 2014 at 01:52 PM Is a representative of the corporation a member of your HOA? Wouldn't the corporation itself have to be a member? In any event, this certainly seems more like a legal question than a parliamentary one. Timothy Posted July 17, 2014 at 03:42 PM Report Share Posted July 17, 2014 at 03:42 PM Your bylaws may give additional guidance, but if a corporation can be a member of the HOA, it stands to reason that it could be a member of the board.

Timothy Posted July 17, 2014 at 08:13 PM Report Share Posted July 17, 2014 at 08:13 PM Can a corporation be a member of your HOA? It would be a strange HOA if one couldn't, since HOAs begin with all homes being owned by the developer's corporation and since rental houses are often owned by a corporation rather than individuals.
