Guest Theresa Posted July 24, 2014 at 11:54 AM Report Share Posted July 24, 2014 at 11:54 AM Is it true that in order for a person to be considered for the position of President that they must first have served on the Board? Also I know that most of the time the VP automatically moves into the position of President when that person rolls off. So does the President have to have served as VP before they can be considered eligiable for the posistion?

jstackpo Posted July 24, 2014 at 12:09 PM Report Share Posted July 24, 2014 at 12:09 PM Guest T: Tim F. is entirely correct; however the sort of eligibility rules that you describe are sometimes found in bylaws. So check yours to see if your association has adopted them. If so, then you, collectively, are required to follow them (or change them).
